Food follows regional cooking and the people producing it: dishes tied to one valley or one season, cheesemakers and curers, olive mills and vineyards, and the festivals built around a harvest, with the months that matter named in every piece. Guides assembles the trips themselves — which markets, producers and towns to link, the season justifying the journey, driving or rail times, daily budgets and where to stay between stops — and routes are traveled before publication. Hotels are reviewed from a food traveler's priorities: what stands within a short walk, the quality and hours of breakfast, room noise, seasonal rates and parking. Dining covers family dining rooms, market counters, bakeries, wine rooms and the occasional tasting menu, each entry giving the dish justifying the stop, cost per person, booking lead time and the detour distance involved. Travel News tracks what moves the dates of a food trip: festival calendars, harvests shifted by weather, seasonal closures, transport disruption and entry rule changes.

How We Work

Guides are written to be used on the road: the dish, the season, the price at a market stall against a dining room, and how to reach the village where it is actually made. Hotel stays are paid for. Restaurants are never listed on reputation alone, and a meal supplied free is either refused or disclosed in the text.
