SCAAA adds Dallas and Osaka studios to its international practice
Architecture and strategy practice SCAAA is expanding into Texas and Japan with studios in Dallas and Osaka. The move adds to its Los Angeles and Seoul presence and extends its work across hospitality and commercial property.
Founded in Los Angeles in 2012 by Steven Song, the practice combines strategy consulting, planning and architectural design. Its February 8 announcement identifies the two new studios as part of a larger international footprint.
The firm’s project record includes RYSE, a boutique hotel in Seoul’s Hongdae district, and improvements to public spaces at the DoubleTree by Hilton on the Dallas Market Center campus. These projects place hotel operations and the surrounding neighbourhood alongside architecture in the design brief.
Dallas and Osaka give the practice a local base in two different commercial regions. The announcement presents the expansion as a way to develop its hospitality and commercial work while maintaining connections between its American and Asian studios.
